 Welcome to The Professional Excel Development Book Site
The site aims to:
* Support the dialog between the readers of the book and its authors by providing Questions & Answers (Q&A) forums. Please note that these forums explicitly cover only the book's contents and are not public general Q&A forums about the involved technologies.
* Make it easier to access any updates and improvements of the book.
* Encourage readers to leave suggestions for improvements for future editions of the book
* Promote the book. If you want to order or rank the book then please click Here.
* Promote the authors Excel services. If you want to discuss consultant work please pm us here or send an e-mail to one of the e-mail addresses mentioned in the book.
Please do not expect that we will frequently update the site. The content of the site is, more or less, controlled by its members, i.e. posts from you will be valuable contributions to the site's growing knowledge base. We will try to answer any questions as soon as possible.
General news:
At present we are working to get the site up and running by the time the printed version of PED is available at the end of May 2009.
Important news to all new members:
All requests for an account at the PED site are subject to moderation before approval. In order to become an approved PED account holder you must use your full name (first name and last name, i.e. Robert Washington) for the account. If you do not follow this rule the account will be removed without any further notification.
About the software in use for the site
The forum software that is used here is FusionBB which is inexpensive and can be extensively customized. To run FusionBB you need a MySQL database associated with a Linux account via an Internet Server Provider.
Once again, most welcome to the PED site.
